I GOT IN TO MY PROGRAM AT SCHOOL :) I am so excited to be able to start my program and to become a teacher someday! I only have 3 more semesters left of school and then I am a teacher! Pretty crazy, but i'm so excited to get started! I'm actually getting excited for school to start again.. Casey can't wait either because he is going to do some online & night classes as well, so it will be great to have a study buddy :)

Being married is so fabulous :) Casey was laughing at me yesterday because I love being a wife so much! I love cooking and cleaning and doing laundry and all those fun wife things! It's still kinda crazy to think that we are married, but we are loving it so far! Casey is a great husband and I love him a lot :)

Casey & I got married last Thursday July 15th! We got married in the Mesa, Arizona temple and it was 118 the day of the wedding! Let's just say everyone probably lost 10 pounds just from sweating! Casey & I are so blessed to have the family that we do. We had an open house in Kaysville July 10th that Casey's mom planned and it was beautiful :) The yard had tables with big white umbrellas attached and pretty decorations in hot pink and orange and we had fondue and cute cupcakes for food :) The day of the wedding my step mom Shye had our luncheon planned at the Wright House in Mesa. The Wright House was gorgeous and the food was delicious (also prepared by Shye). She also made our cake which turned out SO cute! My basically Aunt Wendy took our wedding pictures that day and she did fabulous :) Everything was so great the day of the wedding.. we had so many family and friends there to help us celebrate our special day. Our Pocatello Reception is July 31st so we are looking forward to that one as well! We just love our family and friends and want to thank you for all of your love and support you have shown for us :)

Bridal Showers & such

I know this is a few weeks late and i'm kinda horrible at posting things, but I figured I would post some stuff from the bridal showers! Aubri was such a great maid of honor and threw 2 showers for me that had fun games and fabulous bath and body works prizes and food! Not many people showed up, but they were still fun :) Thanks to everyone who came!

The one with the most at the end of the shower won the prize :) at the Logan shower my nephew Bennett was there and it was hard to not talk about how "CUTE" he was!

I opened this gift from grandma and it had a beautiful white nightgown in it with these mesh panties.. I was looking at them thinking they were rather large and there was no way I was going to fit in them... Turns out they are CASEYS! hahaha

The corset I got from Lauren :) I got a lot of fun stuff from Grandma Arlene as well... at the Logan shower I got a lot of things for the kitchen... all in all the showers were GREAT! :)

We only have 8 more days til the big day!! We go through the temple in 3 days, so I went with mom, grandma , jaylen, and carly to buy garments and such.. it's getting exciting! I can't believe how quickly everything has come!!! We will be in Arizona on Monday night! Life is gonna be crazy for a while, but we are looking forward to it ! :)

We now have officially 5 weeks left until the big day! We have been working hard the past 6 weeks to get everything ready for the wedding and almost everything is done! I couldn't be more happy about it either... I now understand why people elope. There are so many silly little details. I was talking to Lyndsay who is getting married the week after me and we were laughing about how there is never another time in life where you make so many silly decisions that don't even matter! It is CRAZY!
Casey and I are really looking forward to getting endowed in exactly one month! We went and did baptisms tonight and just love the temple. We can't wait to be able to experience all the blessings the temple provides!
My first bridal shower is next weekend in Logan and I couldn't be more excited! I am so lucky to have so many great friends who are willing to come and celebrate this time with me :) I also have the most fabulous Maid of Honor (my sister Aubri). She made the invites by herself and has been planning all of the activities and such.
We are also really lucky to have our families to help us out... our wedding day would never be anything close to what we are getting if we didn't have families who were so willing to help and make everything about the day special..I will blog again with pictures from the bridal shower sooN!!!

So... I am engaged!! YAHOO!! :) The big day is July 15th and we are getting married in the Mesa, Arizona temple and are so excited for it! I am definitely in complete planning mode... all I can think is wedding right now haha.
Here is how he asked me :)....

He took me to this nice restaurant called Elements in Logan for lunch. We got to the restaurant and there were flowers on the table that were pink and orange (colors I had said I would like for my wedding... he pays attention). I didn't really register that the flowers were mine until a few minutes after sitting down. I began to be suspicious because I didn't know why he would have flowers at the table. We ordered and the waitress was actually this girl Caci from my PE class! That was ironic.. but anyways we ate and when we were finishing up Casey handed me a letter telling me why he loved me and why he wanted to marry me. At the end of the letter it said "Will you be my wife?" I looked and him and he said "No worries I am not doing it here, I just wanted you to have that!" The waitress then came out with dessert and another flower with the ring box. He got down and asked me to marry him and I said YES! I am such a lucky girl! He treats me like a princess and I just love him! :)

Here is my ring! So the story of the ring is kinda funny... back when we were first talking about getting married I started to look online at different rings and this is the first one I saw and fell in love with... I never ended up trying it on because we went to another jewelry store. Ironically, we ended up going back to Morgan Jewelers and looking at rings. I hadn't found one I loved yet, so we went one more time to see what we could find. The jeweler had this ring pulled and my eye was automatically drawn to it, so of course I put it on! I realized it was THE RING I had loved from the very beginning! So in a way, it was fate :) hehe. I LOVE IT!!! And I LOVE CASEY!!! :) YAHOO!!

Today I got to go dress shopping with my mom, mother-in-law to be, grandma, and my sisters! It was such a fun time and I found a dress! I am so excited! Now for all of the crazy planning to take place! BUCKLE UP... Here we go !! :) :)

Trials...

I found out last night that I didn't get in to my program for the fall. I felt a little lost and very sad because I don't know what I am going to do now. Luckily I have my family and friends who support me and love me through everything. I know that this "trial" is something that I will learn and grow from. There is some reason why I didn't get in this time. I'm not sure what it is yet, but I know in the long run it will be worth it.
I renewed my temple recommend today, and since it is spring break I am hoping I can get in to the Logan temple since there aren't as many students here trying to get in. I think in a way this is Heavenly Father's way of saying "listen up miss independent.. you can't do everything on your own... don't forget about me!" I am looking forward to figuring out this trial because I know in the process I will grow closer to my Heavenly Father and my Savior.
Since I don't get to go on an extravagant vacation for spring break I have decided I am going to go get a pedicure and get a new spring outfit so that I feel like it is kinda spring here... even though it is snowing still.. bleh. Oh well!
Well everyone, don't forget to learn from your trials and be positive about them. They may make you sad, but don't forget that Heavenly Father is there. :)

Feeling Smart!

I just had to announce the fact that I got a 97 on my first math test! (It was take home, but ya know.. that's still like the best I have done on a math test in like 7 years!) That was exciting. So far all of my first tests have gone really well!

I have my interview Saturday for applying to the Eled program! I am looking forward to it!

I also felt quite successful at my job yesterday when I had like 5 of my first graders come up and show me that they either got a 100 % on their spelling tests or just missed one. I love it when they are successful :)

Today I felt like a horrible teacher. This girl was trying to get into my chair and I didn't realize she was close enough for it to make a difference, so I pulled my chair out of the way and she fell. Definitely not one of my bright and shining moments as Miss Ashley. I'm pretty sure she was not happy with me. These little first graders have a lot more attitude than you would think!

Well, I have to go do my homework now. I have put it off long enough!! :)

Well I now officially believe I am HORRIBLE at blogging. I really should be better... I guess I will just put a few things down that are going on lately :

-I am still working at Hillcrest and loving it as always :)
-Casey and I are doing great.. I am a lucky girl. He puts up with me and all of my moodiness. Poor guy!
-I am patiently waiting to find out if I get into the Eled program! I have an interview next weekend, and then I should know a few weeks after that. CROSSING MY FINGERS! Me being my anal self, I had my application turned in the day after school started this semester. Ya, I know. I'm weird.
-I am enjoying school... well most of the time!~ Some days I really just want one of those days that I can do NOTHING and not feel guilty about it. Between school and work I never stop moving.
-I am taking my last math class this semester! I never thought I would get to this point! So far it's going well.. I just turned in my first exam, so we will see where my grade goes after that! I can only hope it's not bad!
-Casey got me all of the Grey's seasons for my birthday and well it is the best thing I could have ever gotten :) I'm obsessed with Grey's Anatomy haha.
-Spring Break is only 2 and a half weeks away! BAHHH!!! I am so ready for a break. It is needed.. i 'm not doing anything exciting as always, but still the break will be nice.
-I had an abscess. That wasn't fun at all. Spending the whole weekend at INSTACARE=yuck. And I look like a drug addict taking all of my medications.
-I am hoping to get a job being a nanny this summer... but we'll see I guess!

Well, there's the update. Hopefully I will stay more on top of this... at least I will post about getting into the program or not. I really hope I do cause if not, I kinda have no reason to go to school! HAHAHAHA. :)

Funny Story/ Updates

It's been quite a while since I have posted anything! I have been really busy with work and school. I am taking 14 credits and working 19 hours a week. Crazy right? I enjoy it most of the time though!

Funny story... Yesterday I happened to experience the thing college students really hope doesn't happen to them. The alarm never goes off. Most days it wouldn't be a huge deal since I would just be going to class and I could find a way to get caught up, but this particular day I had a meeting with a professor and a math exam! I woke up at 8:58 naturally, had already missed my appointment with my professor, and had 2 minutes before my math exam started... Things I am thankful for as a result of this experience:

-Heavenly Father must have had a role in this experience because I usually wouldn't wake up randomly at 8:58.. that was just pure luck!

-Casey being able to take me to my class so I was only 5 minutes late! Also having him tell me to breathe so I could focus on my test.

-Being completely calm as I took the test and feeling great about it

-Having a professor who allowed me to reschedule an appointment with her (PHEW!)

-The fact that I got a 90 on my test!

-The ability to laugh at the situation instead of break down and cry

You have to love those little humbling experiences that Heavenly Father throws our way. I was really glad to have this experience though because it showed me a lot about myself. Most of the time I would have basically flipped a lid about what happened, but instead I just laughed. It was just a good day!!!

In other news.....

Utah State played Texas A & M last weekend and only lost by 8! I don't care who you are, that is impressive!... and BYU lost.. ;) It was just a good weekend for football.

We play SUU this weekend and it should be the first time we win a homecoming game since I started going to Utah State!

I LOVE LIFE :)

As summer comes to an end...

It's been a while since I have posted anything! Not many things have been going on in life, but school is coming up quickly!! I just figured I would post a little update about my life and the exciting things happening!

1) Casey is moving to Logan TOMORROW! :) YAAAAA BUDDY! I'm way excited to have him here going to school with me!! We've been dating 6 weeks, and he is just amazing!

2) I passed the math placement test a few weeks ago! It took me 6 times, lots of prayers, and even fasting from my momma! I couldn't have done it without the help of everyone! I know it probably seems dumb to be excited about passing a math test, but I need to take this math class this semester so that I can get into the elementary education program at the right time! Definitely a blessing!

3) I got a new calling! I am the activities co-chair, and i'm pretty excited about it! I get to help plan all of the big activities for the ward this year. Quite the responsibility, but i'm ready for the challenge!

4) I went shopping with Mom, Grandma, Jelly, Carly, and Casey last weekend and got new clothes for school! Thanks grandma :) You're the best! I also tried on skinny jeans... I LOVE THEM!

5) I get to go back to work soon! YAHOO! After a summer of being unemployed I am begging to work! I just love the kids at the school too, so I pretty much can't wait! I'm so excited i'm going in next week just to say hi to my teachers haha... obsessed? Maybe a little!

6) I get to be in Pocatello for Jelly's birthday next weekend! it's been a few years since I have been able to do that... plus I get to hear about her first week in high school! AHHH she is growing up!

7) I GET NEW ROOMIES ON SATURDAY!!!!! YAHOO!!!! I met one of them, and she was way fun, so I am thinkin it's gonna be a good year!!!

Well I know there is more, but I can't think straight at the moment haha. There will be more posts to come i'm sure since life is going to kick into high gear soon!!!!!!!

You would think I would be done sending missionaries out, but nope! My friend Chris is leaving to serve a mission in Singapore on Wednesday! His farewell was today, and it was great to see him one last time before he goes to serve the Lord for 2 years. Chris and I met at work in January and became best friends almost instantly. He is such a great guy, and I really wouldn't have made it through some of the days I had without him there to tell me it was all going to be alright!! I love you Chris :) I'm so proud of you!

One of the many beautiful things about EFY is the fact that you make such great friends! There are these things called COW's (crushes of the week), and my COW this week was Richard! He danced with me at the dance and then asked me on a date. We went to my BC, Cami Jo's house for a triple date and it was so stinkin fun! I haven't had that much fun in a while! We had our hands tied together and made pizza and cookies. It was great! :) I LOVE BEING YOUNG! :)

EFY Round 2

I just got finished with my second week of EFY. This week was definitely a humbling experience. I think Heavenly Father thought that the best way for me to grow spiritually was to humble me a little bit and give me a group that was a little more challenging. They weren't way misbehaved, but they were harder to connect with and I had a hard time feeling like I was getting through to them. My testimony of prayer was strengthened numerous times this week, and I am glad that I had this experience. I really did grow closer to my Heavenly Father throughout this experience. At the end of the week I was able to look around the circle at all of my kids and realize how much I really did love them and how much I was going to miss them. EFY ROCKS! :) There are pictures as always of course!

I had the opportunity to be an EFY counselor this week! It was such a great experience! My girls were absolutely amazing, and all of the youth were so strong! There is no doubt in my mind that they were saved for this day because they are so much stronger than I am. Their testimonies are so strong and they really want to be good people. I am so glad that I had the opportunity, and that I get to do this for 3 more weeks this summer! :)

Life's Little Blessings...

So here is an update.. it's been a little while since I posted anything. Last weekend I got to go home and see my cousin Matt and my Aunt's Sandy and Zoe. It's always so fun to be able to see them :) I love my family. I also got to be home for Mother's Day and be with my mom, which I loved :)

I found out Tuesday that I get to be an EFY counselor for 4 weeks! I am so excited. I have been freaking out about it since it is all volunteer, so I won't be making money and I haven't found a summer job yet. I have luckily had my job at the elementary school for a few weeks. I was talking to my boss today and found out that I can work the days after memorial day too! It's not much, but any money helps. It just goes to show that when you exercise a little faith in the Lord he will take care of you in his own way :) I'm just so happy right now!! I love life :)

My best friend Skyler has now officially been gone on a mission for a YEAR now! I have waited for this day for 365 days! This has been the longest year of my life haha. I am so proud of him. He is such an amazing missionary and he is everything I believe a missionary should be! He has the strongest testimony and he is out serving the Lord and getting everything he can out of this experience. I just love him so much, and can't wait for another year to pass so I can see him and give him the biggest hug and tell him I love him! :)

The Rescue--Invisible Children

I have been involved in a club this year called Invisible Children. Invisible Children is a club centered on raising awareness for the war that has been going on in Uganda for 23 years now. The war was started by a man named Joseph Kony who rebelled against the government and began abducting children and turning them into soldiers. Invisible Children was started by 3 guys who went to Africa on a trip and discovered what was going on and wanted to do something about it. Yesterday was our event called The Rescue of Joseph Kony's Soldiers. What we did was "Abduct" ourselves for in hope that we would be rescued. We met at the University of Utah and walked 17 blocks to the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City. When we got there we wrote letters to people in the government and waited to be rescued. In order to be rescued we had to have the media covering our story and have an important political figure come and say they were in support of our cause. We got rescued within 2 hours! The mayor of Salt Lake and Congressman Bob Bennett came.. it was awesome! It was a way fun event :) I am so glad that I can be involved in a club that is trying to make a difference in this world!

I move in 2 weeks! It's kinda crazy how time flies when you look back at things.. in the moment I felt like this year would never end, but now it's the last week of class! I have enjoyed my roommates this year (well most of the time.. we are girls, so there can be drama!) I am not living with any of them next year so I am going to miss them! Here are some recent pictures.. 2 of my roommates are missing in them.. The top picture is Nicole, Heather, me and Emily at Heather's bridal shower.. Nicole made her a cute card in the shape of underwear :) we humiliated her of course haha.. the bottom picture is me, Nicole and Emily before stake conference.. So I have been looking for a good picture of the Logan temple to hang in my room next to my picture of Christ that I have, and I found it today in Deseret Book in Layton!! I love it :) I also found another picture in there that I fell in love with and want to have so bad.. that's the next one on the list for sure!!!!

I know you can't really see it, but it is called Refuge from the Storm.. I love it :)

The newest picture on my list.. it is called Worth of a Soul.. I have this huge passion for Africa and this picture is just SO beautiful to me! I love it so much.. :)

ME AND HEATHER! This year my roommate Emily got me into March Madness! It was way fun, cause well I have a bit of a competitive side to me ( i think i get it from my daddy!), and i actually found that i enjoy watching basketball! Yes it's true, when I have a team I am rooting for I will sit in front of the TV for hours watching a game (think it's from my dad too, but also mom cause she loves getting into games too!) So we had a bracket challenge in our apartment, and my roommate Heather and I tied! I also predicted who would take the whole thing, so that was exciting! Pretty much i became a fan of march madness! I am sure I will get into it from now on.. it was also fun cause it gave me something to text my dad about randomly :) All in all it was a way fun experience! And my competitive side is kinda glad I did so well at predicting!!!

ER Visit/ April Fools Joke Gone Bad

I've been meaning to blog about the lovely visit to the ER we took on Saturday.. Emily was having stomach pains, so we ended up heading to the Logan ER.. so we get there and get her checked in and she was starting to feel better, but we stayed just to make sure all was well. I got to witness Emily's first trip to the ER, first x-ray, first IV, and first ride in a hospital bed.. it was quite an eventful night. We were sitting there laughing for the 2 and a half hours we were there. I'm sure the doctors were wondering if we had been smoking something prior to the ER visit or something. Some crazy hospital worker man started hitting on me when Em was getting her xray.. kinda weird. Emily ended up being just fine, so we pretty much just had an entertaining saturday night :)

So as you all know, it was April Fools Day yesterday and i'm not usually a prankster, but i felt like getting Emily. So Emily has been on a few dates with this guy Jared, and we have this unwritten rule that we just don't date the guys that each other date.. so I send Emily a text saying "oh my gosh, you will not believe who just text me! Jared! He wants to take me on a date!" She wrote back and said "oh fun, what are you doing?" and i said dinner and a movie.. and she seemed like she was doing okay with it, so i came home from work expecting to play with it for a few minutes and then just laugh and scream April Fools, but Emily walked out of the house when I walked in. I told my other roommates that it was all a joke, and one of my roommates FREAKED OUT on me.. I told Emily it was a joke and she laughed and said it was a good joke. Unfortunately a funny joke turned into a huge fight between another roommate and I. I have decided I am not pulling an april fools day joke again because it was way more emotional than I ever expected. Not a fan of april fools day..

Aubri tried to trick me into thinking she was engaged.. i don't fall for her pranks haha. She is the queen of pranks though, gotta hand it to her! :)

I get to go to Salt Lake this weekend to watch my little sisters dance and spend time with mom :) that will be fun! Time to go shopping for mom's birthday present! :) It's also conference weekend! I love conference, and I am excited to hear the talks ( and eat abelskivers of course!)

It is my mommy's birthday today, so I figured I would write a little message for her on here! My mom is the greatest mom ever :) she listens to me complain about everything and she's always there no matter what is going on in my life. I can call her at any time and she will talk to me about life and what's going on. My mom is such a strong woman and she has shown me that no matter what the trial you will get through it and come out a better person in the end. She sacrifices all she has for me and my sisters and she works hard to keep us happy. She is an amazing cook :) she is very loving. My mom loves just about everyone! She isn't just my mom either, she is my best friend. She relates with me and my sisters very well and still teaches us lessons along the way. I pretty much just love my mom so much! Thanks for all you do mom, I hope your birthday is great! I wish I was home to celebrate it with you! I love you :)

Today we had Super Saturday with our Enrichment! It was my first experience with it, and I had fun! I was actually a little crafty, which is kinda a miracle because I am not crafty AT ALL!

I changed my major to Elementary Education this week, so I am going to be a teacher someday :) I hope to teach first grade, but we'll see! I still have a little while left in school, so I don't have to worry about that quite yet! School is almost over--only 6 weeks left! I move into my new place in 6 weeks too, and I am SO excited! I get my own room, which will be amazing :) I am going to start to look for a summer job in about a week and a half or so since it will probably take a while to find one. Utah State played in the NCAA yesterday against Marquette and only lost by one point, so that was exciting! I've actually done pretty well at predicting who would win games in the NCAA! I think my dad would be proud that I have been watching some basketball! :) All in all life if going pretty well!

For FHE on Monday we did a stake wide talent show. Our ward did a lip sync to Love You Tender--it's a you tube music video that is pretty tragic haha. It's pretty hilarious. We had a great time and we ended up winning best crowd pleasers ( which is like first place)! We had SOO much fun!!

My friend Benji is serving in the Colorado Springs Colorado mission and he has been my best writer. He had been talking to me about needing some ties because he keeps spilling all over his.. and he wrote me and said I was his best writer and he loves packages, so I should step it up and send one his way. I went and bought him two ties and sent him some candy for Valentine's day. He was a little concerned because I didn't pay attention to what was written on the candy.. they all had to deal with kissing haha. Poor Elder.. so I went to check the mail, and I had a package from Elder Bosen! I was sooo excited! He sent me a pack of his favorite gum that he chews and a CD full of pictures of him and his adventures in Colorado. Can I just say that I LOVE MISSIONARIES!? They are truly amazing guys and they work so hard and help people change their lives. They bring joy to my life just through their amazing letters and the amazing experiences they like to share. I love them, and i'm so proud of all of my friends who are serving missions right now! :)

Not much has been going on in my life lately.. about a week ago my ankle got all swollen and was swollen for 4 days! The doctor had no idea what was wrong with it! Kinda crazy, and still a mystery! Utah state is now ranked # 23 because we lost to Boise on Saturday.. kinda depressing, but hey we are still ranked! It was also a long weekend, which is always beautiful. It gave me time to catch up on some sleep, homework, and fun!!

I went snowboarding for the first time yesterday!! I had a blast! We got up to Beaver Mountain

and got our snowboards. The toughest part was getting to the ski lift! I fell a ton. Kinda embarrassing, but oh well! When I got off the ski lift I did a bit of a somersault.. Wes told me it looked awesome though, so that works! Another time i got of the ski lift I stayed up and randomly fell and twisted funny so it made my hip twist.. I wish I had a video camera to capture all the times I fell! Wes was the best, he was totally patient with me and taught me the basics. He encouraged me and helped me keep my confidence level up. I went up the hill 4 times, and each time I fell less. It was just a way fun experience! I was really impressed with the guys in our ward too. They were so sweet and so willing to help us out. Drew carried my snowboard for me when I was way freezing. All around I was very impressed with the guys. I would totally go snowboarding again!! I am SO sore today, but I knew that was going to happen so it isn't a big deal!! I have had a cough for like 5 days, and being in the cold turned the cough into a full blown cold. Oh well though, I am still happy that I finally tried snowboarding! :]

Birthday/ Daniel's Farewell

My 20th birthday was great! A few days before we had birthday cake with some people in my ward, and that was a lot of fun! Emily made the cake and organized the whole thing! Thanks girl, you are the best roommate ever! On Friday night I went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse with my family and got a journal and $100 dollars from grandpa and sherin! Then I got the cutest zebra suitcase and two new pair of converse tennis shoes and an I love Dr. McSteamy t-shirt(he is my favorite doctor on Grey's Anatomy) from my mom, grandma, and sisters. On my birthday I went shopping with mom and the sisters and we went to Bride Wars. It was the cutest movie ever! I loved it! I went to dinner with Dimitri that night and loved it!!

Today was my friend Daniel's farwell. I have known him for 8 years! It's crazy to think about that. He is headed to Belgium and the Netherlands on January 28th. He is going to be an absolutely amazing missionary I just know it. I am going to miss him so much! He has been such a great friend, and will continue to be such an amazing friend and influence in my life. I love you Daniel! You are the best!

First Day of the Semester

Today was the first day of the semester. My classes seem like they will be fun and interesting :] in one class I get to sell my book back, cause I don't have to read it! That's a happy thought for sure. I have work soon too, which should be fun! It's fun to see the kids. So today, I have fallen on the ice TWICE. My hip hurts. It's times like these that I ask myself "Why didn't I go to ASU"? haha. oh well. :]

So I have decided I am kinda horrible at this blogging thing.. oh well right? This year for Christmas we went down to Arizona :] it was absolutely beautiful there! I am not a huge fan of the snow, so having a Christmas that was 50 degrees was a nice change!! Poor Shye was sick the whole time, I felt horrible for her, but she was still a trooper and tried her hardest to be happy and involved! Dad was off of work the whole time, so we got to see him a lot which was awesome! We also saw extended family too! We got to have Christmas twice, cause we had our Christmas with mom when we got home. It was just an awesome Christmas :]

I head back to Logan on Saturday to get ready to start the new semester on Monday.. I am actually kinda excited to start back up, it's going to be a good semester, I can just feel it :] I can't wait!! I was looking for apartments for the summer and next year and found an amazing one! I am calling tomorrow for info, and hope i will be able to live there!! :]

My life is SO crazy! I don't ever have time to get on here and blog! I got to go home this weekend and it was so nice! I love going home :] it's so great! I brought all of my Christmas stuff back to Logan and we decorated our tree tonight! It is so pretty I just love it!! It's a bit early I know, but we aren't going to be around for much of December, so we decided to do it earlier this year so we could enjoy the pretty tree for longer in Logan! I'm getting closer to being done with this semester of school, which is definitely so nice because this semester has stressed me out WAYYY too much! i'm hoping that next semester is a little better!! It should be since I don't have a math class finally! :]

Grateful # 4 & 5

So one day i'm gonna get good at this whole blogging thing and write on it every day! So here are my things I am grateful for!

#4--- A job. I just LOVE my job.. it can get stressful at times, but I love it! Who wouldn't love working with cute little 1st and 2nd graders every day? They just have this way with people, they can make anyones bad day better. They make me want to be a teacher :] they're so fun! I'm also thankful that I am able to have such a good job, so that I can eat, and take care of myself! I pretty much just love my job!!

#5--- Somewhere to live. I absolutely love where I live. It's such a convenient place to live. It's right by campus, and across the street from my church, so everything is really close. I will definitely be happy about that when it starts snowing.. BURR!! Less time in the cold = BEST! I have great roommates too.. we are all so different, but we compliment each other in certain ways. It's just so awesome to be able to live in Logan, and not have to stress about paying the rent. There are people in the world that have nowhere to sleep or to get out of the cold.. i'm just so thankful for the fact that I have been so blessed!

So i'm already slacking on this haha! Life tends to get in the way sometimes! it's not good!

SO thing that I am thankful for #2: Family. What would I do without my family? They are seriously the most amazing people :] they love me unconditionally and are always there when I need it the most. My parents win the best parents ever award :] my mom has always been so loving and caring and is always there if I need to talk to someone. My dad is the best dad anyone could ever have :] he is my most favorite man on this earth! He always calls up to check on me and will always send money if I need it, and gives me blessings everytime I ask! Shye, my step mom, is a great person! She is so in tune with the spirit and what is the right thing to do, and she sends me fun packages for the holidays :] Aubri, well she is the funniest girl i've ever met! She is so loving, and such a beautiful girl. I know if I need anything she won't judge me, she always sees the best in me no matter what. Jelly is such a cuddler! I may appear to not want her touching me, but it's always good to come home and have her attack me and give me huge hugs! What would I do without that girl!? Ashlynn has such a passion for life and for the things that are right. She doesn't even get tempted to do the bad things, she's always trying to be the good person! Little Carly, oh how I love her. She is SOOO talkative and always has something to talk to me about, and always makes me feel needed!! I could go off about all of these people in my family, because it doesn't stop there, but I won't! I have the best family out there! :]

Thing i'm thankful for # 3: Education. I do tend to complain about school sometimes, but I am really thankful that I can go to school where I want, and learn about things that I am really passionate about :] it's just so awesome to learn. It can be stressful of course, but I still love it!

So my lovely step mom came up with the greatest idea for this month! She is going to try to write something she is thankful for every day of November, and I am gonna do it too! I think it will help me to see the good things that are in my life amidst all of the stress!! :]

So for today, I am grateful for good music! There is nothing better than listening to music to calm yourself down and to feel the spirit. I am grateful that I have a calling that deals with good music and that I get to help bring the spirit into sacrament meeting. I am grateful that I have been blessed with the ability to sing :] I just love music!

So, I think I jinxed myself. I was talking to my dad and was talking about how we luckily didn't have any snow sticking yet.. well what do ya know.. 2 hours later there is snow falling out of the sky and sticking! I am having mixed feelings about it because i'm not ready to be cold, but it is pretty and Jordan is gonna teach me to snowboard this year, so that might make it more exciting! I just can't believe it is already snowing and it's only October 12th. The weather website did say it should be mid 60's in the middle of the week though, so maybe it's not gonna stay.. we will see I guess. I am putting some pictures of the lovely snow, and of the Halloween decorations my grandma Arlene got for my apartment! :]

So here's an update for life at Utah State.. Story # 1: one night Emily and I are just sitting around studying and we see this HUGE bug on the blinds.. it was massive, i was pretty sure it was going to eat me. But i handled it don't worry! So yesterday a relative of this lovely creature comes to visit.. AHHHH pretty sick of the nasty foreign bugs showing up in my room! It's not like i don't vacuum once a week!! Here's a picture of the little fella..

Story # 2: The other night we went to the Yellowcard concert at Utah State.. I wasn't there for Yellowcard though. Jason Reeves came and sang, and I love his music! He did really well, but the meanie pants didn't come say hi to all of us who were his fans. Come on now Jason! The other opening guy is named John Allred, and he was amazing as well! So I was just looking on my best friend Lyndsay's blog, and turns out I have been tagged! I have to write down 6 quirks.. hmm this should be interesting to think about haha.

#6-I'm gonna agree with Lyndsay on this one. When people don't use their blinkers it makes me ABSOLUTELY crazy! Cause all of a sudden they slam on their brakes and turn, and you nearly hit the people! Or they are going extra slow and you're like hello what is the deal? Then they end up turning. Use your blinkers people! That's what they were invented for duh!

#5-Jordan gave me this blanket that is WAY soft, and I REFUSE to share it with anyone. At the age of 19 I have a "BLANKIE" haha. I sleep with it every night.. have since February! I know, a bit immature right? Don't try to steal it.. I will throw a fit!

#4-I don't believe in hitting the snooze button. Once my alarm goes off, I am out of bed. I cannot go back to sleep after my alarm goes off. I think i've been classically conditioned to jump out of bed when my alarm goes off. It's a good thing I guess, but people probably think i'm odd because I can get up right when it goes off.

#3-I recycle. I have my grandma Arlene to thank for that. She decided that recycling would be a good idea, so we started doing that this summer when I lived there. Well now that I am back at college I still recycle. Anything that can possibly be recycled, I recycle! It bugs me to throw any recyclable things away anymore!

#2-I always have my phone with me--ALWAYS! I feel like something is missing if I don't have my phone close by. Don't ask me why, but I am addicted to my phone. Probably not the best thing right?

#1-I'm anal about school. If I don't do all of the reading I am supposed to before I get to class I think i'm going to fail or something! My roommate Emily made a comment to Jordan once that I was anal enough for the both of us. She has a point.. I really am. I stress over school way too easily! Oh and i'm a neat freak. Things can't be messy for too long, or I start to stress out over that.. Basically I just stress out easily!!!

I haven't done the whole blog thing in a while, so I figured I should write a little bit on here about the happenings at Utah State!

Here is a picture of me and Jordan at the first game of the season, we played the University of Utah and got beat pretty bad... :'( Still love my school though!

This is us letting you know that we're # 1! We played the University of Idaho today, and beat them 42--17! We were pretty dang excited! We were the only ones in the WAC to play a game today, so we are # 1 in our conference for now! :] I love my AGGIES! #1 play of the game:: Rob running 50 yards! WOOT! And the Idaho quarterback fumbling in our end zone, giving us a default touchdown! Great game!

OH, and just an update on clubs and stuff! I am the person over service in ASFCHD, and a chairperson in Invisible Children!! Yay~ Work started this week, it has been pretty fun! I only work a few hours a day, so I can still do homework and stuff! Not too shabby! I got a 93 on my developmental psych test, 97 on my abnormal psych test, and 92 on my computer part of my stats test! so far, so good!

I haven't wrote anything on my blog for a while because I have been SO busy. School is out of control! I have tons of homework and always have other things going on as well. Work hasn't started yet, which will add to the stress of life, but i'm excited to get back into the school and work with the cute little kids. I joined three clubs on campus to get a little more involved. I'm in ASFCHD and might possibly be an officer, Aggies for Africa, and Invisible Children. The last two are awesome cause they are about Africa, which I have a huge passion for. I just love Africa. I feel for those people so much. I got a calling today.. i'm the ward choir director! I am way excited because I love church music, and it will be way fun to be the one choosing the music!! I'm excited~ Well I better go.. ward prayer is soon!!

So, it is now almost the end of the first week of school, and I am glad! My classes are going to be very intense! Lots of reading and projects and papers! Freshman year was a cake walk compared to this! But that's alright, because most of my classes are going to interest me. My psychological statistics teacher actually speaks English which makes me very happy.. I just may be able to do well in a math class this time---crossing my fingers!!! It's been a good first week though, and I am ready to start working hard and getting some good grades this semester!! My roommate Emily is great! We get along really well.. we went to Smith's last night for free college night and got some really good deals! 4 of us got a bunch of food and stuff for $31... not too shabby eh!? We were pretty excited!!

My dad and Shye have tons of pretty pictures of the Savior in their house, and I have always wanted my house to be like that.. I found this beautiful picture at Deseret Book to put on my wall in my room!! It is so pretty!! I'm so excited to have started my collection of pretty pictures for my home!! :]

So now that I am back at college I am cooking for myself again. I really like good food, and enjoy cooking, but I HATE leftovers! I have had spaghetti 3 times in the past 2 days!! I'm sorry but that is just disgusting. So I have come up with a business plan. I'm going to charge boys who don't want to cook for themselves a small fee for me to cook dinner for them. HAHA if only that would work. I've gotta figure something out though. Cause I cannot handle that many leftovers! GROSS!

I moved back to Logan yesterday! It was pretty fun.. my mom came and helped me get everything all situated before she left.. she's such a great mom! I met a few people that seem really nice that are going to be in my ward, so i'm excited for church to meet all sorts of new people! As far as my first night in Logan goes.. it didn't go too well... I was exhausted from moving and had a hard time going to sleep. Then when i was finally asleep i woke up at 3 with a horrible sinus headache and didn't fall back asleep until 4!! But luckily i'm doing alright! Hopefully I adjust to my new place quickly!

Breaking Up..

I prefer being the one being broken up with to breaking up with someone anyday. Because when you are the person doing the breaking up you are the one that causes the other person pain. That is the last thing I wanted to do :'( You know when you pray so hard to know what's right and you get an answer and you almost want to send it back and ask for something else? That's what happened to me. I asked what was right for me and Jordan and I got the answer that we needed to break up. Not necessarily the answer I wanted, but you can't ignore what the spirit is telling you right!? I feel really bad, and hope that Jordan will be alright. I can only hope that we'll be friends soon. So Jordan, I am really sorry.

Arizona!!

I had the opportunity to go to Arizona TWICE this summer!! It was so much fun! I love to go visit my Dad, Shye, Ashlynn, and all of my family there! I also had my best friend Lyndsay and Carly with me! It was great!

The first night we were in Arizona we went to Famous Footwear to get some new tennis shoes for school and Lyndsay and I found these DIVINE slippers! I have to have a pair sometime! They are the most amazing slippers I have ever had on my feet!

Dad was nice enough to let us go get our toes done! They turned out so cute! Carly was so excited to get her toes done by a "Chinese" person.. haha I guess that's what a little girl would say huh? It was lots of fun! Thanks Dad! We loved it!

So I don't have a picture for this story, but I had to tell it.. I strained a muscle in my neck while I was in Arizona! It was pretty poopy! Oh well though right!

Okay, so this guy was CLASSIC! We are sitting in the Phoenix airport getting ready to fly back to Salt Lake and we see this man just doing yoga in the middle of the airport. It was HILARIOUS! He was even doing hip thrusts at one moment! It gave me a good giggle when I wasn't feeling too good!

Here we are on the flight home.. Carly kinda got cut off but she's still there! It was a WAY fast flight! We made it there in record time. We landed at 4 and weren't even supposed to land until 418!! WOOT!

So here is another story.. i'm sorry if I am boring you all with all of my stories but some of them are too good! We went to dinner with Grandma Kay, Grandpa Marvin, Uncle Brian, Aunt Stacy, Brian, Reed, Wyatt, and Jaxon. So we're riding to the restaurant and me and Lyndsay are like DYING because it's SOOO hot in the car. We get to the restaurant and it felt better outside than it did in the car! We ate and everything and once we got back in the car Grandpa goes "Girls I forgot to turn on the A/C on the way over here!" hahaha it was great. At least we know why we were so hot right!

I could tell more stories, but I will just stop here. I had such a fun time in Arizona even though we just vedged! Lyndsay and I watched 6 3/4 movies because my neck was hurting so bad that I couldn't do anything else! What a good friend huh!? I just want to thank my Dad and Shye for always making our time in Arizona so much fun and such a spiritual experience at the same time! I love you! Thanks for all that you do for me!

Logan Temple Pictures.. and BOOKS!

My friend Lyndsay and I went to Logan today to look at my apartment and decided to go take some pictures of the temple while we were down there. I LOVE the Logan temple. Living right by it last year was awesome, and I can't wait to be back in the town where it is!

So as far as books go, I ordered my books for school this year and they were a little pricy!! But my dad is great and is helping me pay for them, since I don't have any money at the moment, because I never found a job this summer. Thanks Dad I love you!! :]

THE DARK KNIGHT/ BATMOBILE

Here are our Batman shirts... we went to The Dark Knight last night, and LOVED IT! We were the only people cool enough to wear Batman shirts.

This is the "BATMOBILE" aka Jordan's new car... he LOVES this car! I named it the Batmobile for him.. I love driving this car too!

This is me detesting the stick shift.. I was kinda scared to drive the "BATMOBILE" because it's a little bit nicer than the truck I learned to drive stick in.

Once I started driving I couldn't help but smile! It's too much fun to drive!! And easy to speed in may I add, this thing goes fast! :]

Jordan enjoyed his ride--partly because he taught me how to drive it, and MOSTLY because it's his beautiful car! :]

SWIMMING

I have been taking care of my sisters all summer instead of working and Carly has been begging me to take her swimming...well yesterday was her lucky day because our hose leaked and ended up leaking into our storage room, so we couldn't have our swamp cooler on...so we went to the pool! I didn't get many pictures because Jaylen said i was "LAME" for wanting to take pictures at the pool...but here's what i got...ENJOY!
